Our process for getting to know you as a couple includes about an hour interview for logistics, preferences, and love story. We integrate what we learn into your ceremony script draft and you get to review it!

100% It’s important to us that you have a chance to review your script, provide feedback, and get excited!

Our default is in the middle of the spectrum between serious & light-hearted, spiritual & secular, community & couple. We’ll make sure we’re on the same page with your preferences during the interview so your script resonates best with you.

We can receive a draft of your vows by email for a brief side-by-side comparison. Plus we’ll share helpful tips during the interview process.

We don’t have live client videos to share but we’re happy to share a reading at the end of our interview call so you can hear how we go into our orator voice!

Our base rate for wedding ceremonies is $800. That includes our interview, script writing, editing, performance, and marriage license submission.

Marriage license signing appointments are available for $99 in our home office or $150 at your Chicago location.

We are in our 7th year of business and have officiated over 130 ceremonies! Join our happily married and profound couples!

We have a team of ordained folks who can step in to perform a ceremony in the case of emergencies or, with enough notice, we can train a loved one to be ordained and perform our script for you.

Knock on wood Our emergency coverage has never been needed and we are on the emergency list of many peers and wedding planners!

Yes! We will offer education about the process during the interview. We will fill out and sign the license and submit it to the correct municipality.

The couple must obtain their legal marriage license and hand it off at the ceremony. Post-ceremony, the couple orders their marriage certificate.

YES! We love all our couples, but let’s be honest, we really love our couples who are prioritizing what is most important to them.

Bring your queer, secular, inter-faith, or up-for-anything-selves and we’ll meet you where you are.

During our interview we’ll check in with you about fashion expectations like colors to aim for or avoid and show some examples.

This is one of our favorite elements. We’ll ask if you have any ideas and we’ll show some recommendations for you to consider. Nothing is to traditional or non-traditional for us- trust us, we’ve probably seen it (yes, unity tequila or kombucha shots are a thing).

Officiating offers a unique opportunity to learn about so many people, and provides a creative writing outlet unlike anything else. Bonus, it’s what inspired us to train in and offer premarital support, and now couple and family therapy in our other work!
